Recent groundbreaking evidence indicates that the presence of “inflammation” is as dangerous a health concern as high cholesterol in the development of arterial disease, heart attack and strokes. This “inflammation” is easily measured with a simple test that examines the level of a chemical called C-reactive protein (CRP), which increases dramatically during inflammation.
